Answer to Trivia

Believe it or not, Get Him to the Greek is a spin-off of the 2008 film Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Both films were directed by Nick Stoller, but Forgetting Sarah Marshall was written by and starred Jason Segel.

The narratives of the film connects through rock star Aldous Snow who is played by Russell Brand in both films. Jonah Hill also stars in both films, but he plays different characters.

Jason Segel has mentioned that he drew inspiration for Forgetting Sarah Marshall from several real-life breakups, inclusing the infamous nude breakup scene. Jason Segel mines his life yet again with this week's release Dispatches from Elsewhere.
